
Biography
Vandana Shiva is an Indian scholar, environmental activist, and food sovereignty advocate. Based in Delhi, she has written more than 20 books and is often referred to as the "Gandhi of grain" for her activism associated with the anti-GMO movement.
She is a physicist, philosopher, writer, university teacher, politician, and ecofeminist who was born in Dehradun in 1952.
